Proposal By Hillingdon Council On The Addition Of New Locally Listed Building In Northwood

Hillingdon Council will be holding a Cabinet meeting on Thursday April 18th 2019.  On the agenda is Item 5 regarding the addition of buildings in Northwood to be locally listed.   NVL consider this will be of direct interest to Northwood residents.
The Cabinet Meeting to be held on Thursday 18th April 2019 in The Civic Centre, Uxbridge, UB8 1UW at 7pm in Committee Room 6.  NVL consider item 5 on the Agenda for this meeting will be of significant interest to the residents of Northwood.

Item 5.  Conservation Area Appraisal Statement for Northwood Town Centre, Green Lane Conservation Area and the addition of 14 locally listed buildings in Northwood to the Council’s List of Buildings of Architectural or Historic Importance pdf icon PDF 151 KB

Additional documents in the Appendix:

·   Appendix 1 – Draft Northwood Conservation Area Statement for Public Consultation , item 5.pdf icon PDF 4 MB

·   Appendix 2 – Proposals for New locally listed Buildings in Northwood to add to the Local List , item 5.pdf icon PDF 1 MB

The Appraisal Statement and Appendices before Cabinet are well worth reading as they impinge on the NHG/TfL proposals for the TfL estate in the Conservation Area of Northwood.  We hope the outcome of the Cabinet Meeting is to decide to allow these proposals to go forward to a Public Consultation.  If so we urge residents to take part in the Public Consultation.
Notting Hill/Genesis/TfL will not put a planning application forward to LBH in Spring 2019 as originally stated.  It is understood this will now be submitted in Autumn/Winter 2019.  The proposals to locally list two buildings in the TfL Estate could have affects on any planning application.
